Tall white tom with black tabby stripes and yellow eyes With a pelt like shadows dancing across freshly fallen snow, Teaselfang draws attention even in a large crowd. The snowy white of his base coat is brilliantly patterned with jet black mackerel tabby stripes that cover his whole body, but fade into white when reaching his underfur and turning to a grey gradient down his legs until they are hardly visible when one looks only several inches above his large paws. It is sleek and smooth, always seemingly well groomed, with a glossy shine. Short and not thick, his pelt lays close to his body, extenuating his tall and lean physical appearance. Lean but solid muscles ripple under Teaselfang's sleek pelt, sculpting long legs, powerful haunches, and broad shoulders. A long tail tapers away from his body, ringed with black stripes that fade on the underside but darkening the further down and ending in a solid black tipped tail. Teaselfang sports a handsome face, his head is broad with large rounded ears sitting atop it. Narrow eyes are positioned in the center of his face, amber-yellow in color and standing out against the his white pelt and black stripes. They sit just above a black rimmed nose centered with a blotch of dark pink.
in depth here
The sky was a pale slate of grey, and a steady stream of drizzle covered the camp of SunClan. It seemed dull and gloomy, but there was one place that was full of life. On that dull newleaf day the nursery was a bustle of excitement. Inside the nursery, a young queen gently groomed the fur of her newborn kits. This was her first litter, and her mate stood over her protectively as the medicine cat gently examined each kit before giving them a clean bill of health. A mixture of soft purrs could be heard through the den, from the purr of Ivywhisker as she curled her smoky black tabby tail over the small squirming bodies of her kits. Sheepfur's purr of affection rumbled deeply as he watched over his young family, large white body settled close to his mate, his thick white fur mixing with her shirt smoky pelt. Their kits purred quietly and contently at their mothers belly, the tom kit they named Teaselkit laying quietly as he nursed, named for his pale pelt and faint tabby stripes that would soon turn black with maturity. His sister on the other hand, squirmed around, small white head bobbing as she sniffed the air, crawling closer to her mother and resting next to her brother. The birth of these two new kits to SunClan brought about a hum of joy and hope all through the camp. Teaselkit's remaining kithood remained exceptionally ordinary. He and his sister were close as all siblings were at kithood, they played together, explored together, and everything else kits did. Plumkit was a more curious kit, always wanting to know what was beyond the nursery and beyond the camp they were confined to. Much as he is now, Teaselkit was more rational than most, helping to level out his sister's adventurous nature. Ivywhisker was a gentle and maternal soul, but easily fretted. She watched her kits carefully, and sometimes worried too much about their safety, preferring that they stay almost inside the nursery with her all day. Even so, Sheepfur always has a way of calming her and allowing his mate to ease up and allow her kits to be kits. A warm greenleaf day marked the beginning of Teaselpaw and Plumpaw's warrior training. Mentored by a tom who seemed just on the verge of retiring to the elders den, Teaselpaw couldn't help but wonder why he was apprenticed to such as old cat. But Badgerclaw was a loyal and fierce warrior, and Teaselpaw came to realize he was somewhat infamous almost everywhere. Many clans knew his name, and knew it for good reason, while many apprentices coward before him, afraid of his sharp-tongue and hard stare. Even so, Badgerclaw had much to teach Teaselpaw when they didn't clash, they each had strongly opinionated personalities and where extremely headstrong. This battle occurred for several moons in the beginning of Teaselpaw's apprenticeship, but the two soon realized that pushing would get them no where, and when they finally allowed for each other's input, Teaselpaw finally began to blossom with his training, turning into both a skilled fighter and providing hunter. During this time, Teaselpaw and Plumpaw where spending less time together, and with that, Plumpaw's curiosity was becoming a little out of hand. She was often caught wondering outside the border, intrigued by what was outside it, while it didn't seem to many like much during her apprenticeship, it soon would when she reached the rank of warrior. After scoring high marks on each of his assessments, it finally came time for Teaselpaw to gain his warrior name, and Plumpaw would also be joining him. The two young cats sat proudly before their leader, chins high and tails quivering in excitement. They were reached touched lightly by their leader as he deemed them Teaselfang and Plumtail respectively. As their clan called their names cheerfully, Badgerclaw stepped forward. The chanting stopped as all eyes locked onto the old black and white warrior, waiting for what he had to say. He requested that he be moved to the elders den, that he had served his clan for many moons and wished to retire. That was the moment Teaselfang realized just how old his former mentor looked, arthritis was causing him stiff, almost painful movements, his fur becoming patchy and uneven over his body. Their leader only dipped their head and welcomed Badgerclaw to the elders den. Several moons after becoming a warrior, tragedy seemed to strike all at once, in his age, Badgerclaw died from a large, mysterious lump in his belly, and Ivywhisker contracted a fatal cough. Teaselfang felt broken, and with the death of her mother, Plumtail no longer felt a strong connection to the clan. Her adventures outside the territory she began as an apprentice became longer and more frequent, sometimes lasting for a full day. One day, she didn't come back to camp, Teaselfanf caught sight of her once, and managed to catch her, but all she said was that the clan life wasn't for her, and she would now live the life of a loner before sprinting away from Teaselfang and the clan territories. It was also around this time that Teaselfang received his first apprentice, a young she-cat by the name of Mintpaw, who was later given the warrior name Mintfoot. |
